All about Flip Top Cash Drawers

Our range of Flip Top Cash Drawers are Top Opening and are available in different interfaces including USB & RJ12 (Receipt Printer or POS Terminal Driven). 

The most common connection type for a Flip Top Cash Drawer is the RJ12 which is a telephone style connector designed to be connected to the Drawer Kick "DK" port of your receipt printer. By connecting them directly to the receipt printer, it allows the drawer to open automatically when a sale has been finalised and/or receipt is printed. Although this is the most common method to use them, you can still open them manually with a key. 

The USB Flip Top Drawers are less common as they generally require software development in order for them to operate. You may want to confirm this with the Point of Sale (POS) Software vendor before purchasing the USB version to save any disappointment. We do have options which will allow you to use a Cash Drawer Trigger such as a USB Module with a virtual comm port or even a "Push Button" style to open electronically without a receipt printer.

Our Flip Top Drawers are heavy duty and great for saving space in areas the require a small footprint. They can be recessed into bench or counter tops keeping them well secured and out of plain sight.
