The receipt printer plugs into your wireless router / modem via a LAN cable (Hardwired) and your tablet will communicate with the printer across the network. The cash drawer will plug into the back of the printer and open automatically once a sale has been finalised. 

If you can't have the printer cabled, we would recommend upgrading to the Shopify Bluetooth Printer Bundle instead although you will be limited to one tablet).
