A NeoPOS Receipt Printer can be used in various ways which include printing receipts, printing order or even both if you want the receipts & orders coming out of the same printer.

The most important things about choosing the best NeoPOS printer is firstly working out what the use of the printer will be and secondly, which connection type you are going to use.

If you print hundreds of receipts per day, you need to ensure you buy a receipt printer that is going to handle the print load and the same goes for kitchen. As a general rule, we always recommend choosing high quality products for both receipt and kitchen and this is why we mainly recommend Epson, Star & Bixolon. These are high quality printers with longer warranties but there are also different models amongst these brands so make sure you check out the printer specs before purchasing.

Acting as a receipt printer, we would recommend you use a USB printer as they are simple to install and there are very minumal settings to get you up and running. 

When printing orders to a kitchen printer, we would suggest looking at the Ethernet & Wireless printers. If you are able to cable to your printer to the modem/router, this would be ideal and is much easier to setup and the most reliable. The Wireless printers do require a little extra setup requirements but if this is the best option for your business, then we can assist you so long as you purchase the printer from us.

Another factor to consider for the kitchen printers is whether the printer will be near very hot areas and the paper exposed to a lot of heat such as heat lamps. If this is the case, then you won't want to get a thermal printer as the paper is Thermal and it will simple turn the paper black and you won't be able to read your orders! In this case, we would recommend using a dot matrix impact printer or even a kitchen screen. The Dot matrix printers use a plain paper with ink ribbons and will not be affected with heat.
